Mask of Change Booster Box Japanese SV6 | Ogerpon ex

The Mask of Change booster box (SV6) takes collectors into the Kitakami storyline introduced in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet: The Teal Mask. Released in Japan on April 26, 2024, this Japanese expansion puts Ogerpon at the center of the set, including all four of its mask forms as Pokémon ex. A sealed box contains 30 Japanese booster packs, with five cards in each pack.

Four Masks, One Pokémon

Ogerpon is what gives SV6 its unmistakable identity.

The set includes four different Ogerpon ex cards:

• Teal Mask Ogerpon ex

• Hearthflame Mask Ogerpon ex

• Wellspring Mask Ogerpon ex

• Cornerstone Mask Ogerpon ex

Each mask represents a different type and gives Ogerpon a different role in the Pokémon TCG. The four versions appear in the regular set and return in higher rarities, including Special Art Rare versions.

The four Special Art Rare cards are numbered 125/101 through 128/101, making them a particularly attractive mini-collection for anyone trying to complete the premium Ogerpon lineup.

Mask of Change (SV6) was officially released in Japan on April 26, 2024, as part of the Pokémon Scarlet & Violet series. View the official Pokémon Card Game SV6 set information

The Teal Mask Story Continues

The connection to Kitakami goes beyond Ogerpon.

Kieran and Carmine, two major characters from The Teal Mask, are both represented in the set and receive premium card versions. Their presence gives the expansion a stronger connection to the game’s storyline than a typical standalone Pokémon card release.

Other Pokémon tied to the Kitakami setting also appear throughout the checklist, including Poltchageist, Sinistcha, Dipplin, Munkidori, Fezandipiti and Okidogi.

Dragapult ex Joins the Collection

SV6 isn’t solely an Ogerpon-focused product.

Dragapult ex is another important inclusion, appearing as 081/101 in the main set and receiving a higher-rarity Secret Rare version at 120/101. Blissey ex and Luxray ex are also among the Pokémon receiving premium treatments.

This gives the expansion some variety for players and collectors who aren’t specifically chasing Ogerpon.

Illustration Rare Cards

The artwork collection is another strong part of Mask of Change.

The Japanese set has 12 Art Rare cards, featuring Pokémon including:

• Sunflora

• Dipplin

• Froslass

• Wattrel

• Chimecho

• Munkidori

• Fezandipiti

• Timburr

• Okidogi

• Lairon

• Tatsugiri

• Chansey

These cards give the set a different collecting angle from the Ogerpon ex cards and character cards.

A 133-Card Japanese Checklist

The Japanese SV6 checklist contains 133 cards in total: 101 cards in the numbered main set followed by 32 secret-rarity cards. The higher-rarity section includes the four Ogerpon ex forms, Trainer cards, Dragapult ex, Blissey ex, Luxray ex and other premium versions.

The set also contains ACE SPEC cards, including Secret Box, Scoop Up Cyclone and Legacy Energy, continuing the mechanic’s presence in the Scarlet & Violet era.

What’s Inside the Japanese Display?

A factory-sealed SV6 Mask of Change box contains:

30 booster packs × 5 cards per pack

That’s 150 cards per sealed display.

The contents are randomly distributed, so opening a box does not guarantee a particular Ogerpon ex, Illustration Rare, Trainer card or other high-rarity pull.

For collectors who prefer original Japanese Pokémon products, the sealed display also provides the original Japanese packaging and Japanese-language cards.
