The Pokémon VSTAR Universe S12a Japanese Booster Box is the final High Class Pack of the Sword & Shield era and brings together an unusually large selection of popular Pokémon, premium artwork and reprints from across the generation.

Rather than introducing a normal expansion with the traditional Japanese five-card packs, VSTAR Universe is designed as a premium High Class Pack. Each sealed box contains 10 booster packs, and each pack contains 10 cards, giving collectors 100 cards to open from a single display.

The set is particularly popular for its Art Rare (AR) and Special Art Rare (SAR) cards, along with gold cards, Radiant Pokémon and other high-rarity cards.

🌟 A Celebration of the Sword & Shield Era

VSTAR Universe feels different from a conventional Pokémon expansion because it brings together many of the Pokémon and card themes that defined the Sword & Shield generation.

Collectors can encounter popular Pokémon including:

• Charizard

• Pikachu

• Mew

• Mewtwo

• Giratina

• Arceus

• Origin Forme Palkia

• Origin Forme Dialga

• Suicune

• Entei

• Raikou

• Eevee

The set’s broad selection is one of the reasons S12a remains such a recognizable Japanese sealed product.

🔥 Charizard, Giratina and the Big SAR Cards

Some of the most recognizable cards associated with VSTAR Universe are its Special Art Rare cards.

Major chase cards include:

• Charizard VSTAR SAR

• Giratina VSTAR SAR

• Origin Forme Palkia VSTAR SAR

• Origin Forme Dialga VSTAR SAR

• Arceus VSTAR SAR

• Mewtwo VSTAR SAR

The set also contains gold versions of several powerful VSTAR Pokémon, including Giratina VSTAR, Arceus VSTAR, Dialga VSTAR and Palkia VSTAR.

⚡ The Pikachu Art Rare

Another major attraction is Pikachu’s Art Rare.

VSTAR Universe contains a number of interconnected Art Rare cards that form larger artwork when viewed together. Pikachu is one of the standout cards from this group and has become one of the most recognizable collectible cards from the Japanese set.

The AR cards give VSTAR Universe a completely different collecting experience from simply chasing standard Pokémon V cards.

🎨 Art Rare & Special Art Rare Cards

VSTAR Universe introduced a particularly strong selection of premium artwork.

The set contains Art Rare (AR) and Special Art Rare (SAR) cards featuring Pokémon in detailed environments rather than traditional battle-focused artwork.

According to Japanese product information, the set contains 172 regular card types, with the complete release extending to 262 cards when the higher-rarity cards are included.

That large card pool gives collectors an enormous number of cards to chase.

✨ Premium Pulls

VSTAR Universe is also known for its unusually strong pull structure compared with ordinary Japanese booster expansions.

Fuji Card Shop lists expected box contents that include at least:

• 1 Radiant Pokémon

• 3 Art Rare cards

• 1 Super Rare card

• 1 special Energy card

There is also a chance of encountering a rare God Pack, where an entire booster contains a selection of high-rarity cards. These special packs are extremely uncommon and are not guaranteed in an individual box.

Because individual packs are randomly distributed, JP-TCG Wholesale should not guarantee specific chase cards or a God Pack in a customer’s box.

📦 JAPANESE BOX CONFIGURATION

One factory-sealed S12a VSTAR Universe box contains:

10 High Class Packs × 10 cards per pack = 100 cards per box.

This is important to state clearly because VSTAR Universe does not use the 30-pack × 5-card configuration found in standard Japanese Pokémon booster boxes.

🏆 WHY COLLECT VSTAR UNIVERSE?

VSTAR Universe is particularly attractive for collectors who want a single Japanese product containing many of the most recognizable Pokémon from the Sword & Shield generation.

Its appeal comes from the combination of:

• Charizard VSTAR SAR

• Giratina VSTAR SAR

• Arceus VSTAR

• Pikachu Art Rare

• Mew and Mewtwo

• Origin Forme Dialga and Palkia

• Radiant Pokémon

• Gold VSTAR cards

• Art Rare and Special Art Rare artwork

• Possibility of a rare God Pack

• Japanese High Class Pack presentation

It also represents the final High Class Pack of the Sword & Shield era, making the sealed Japanese box an important product for collectors completing a Sword & Shield-era collection.
