Pokémon Scarlet ex SV1S Japanese Booster Box | Koraidon ex & Armarouge
Price range: 72 $ through 864 $
Start the Scarlet & Violet generation with the Pokémon Scarlet ex SV1S Japanese Booster Box, an original Japanese release featuring Pokémon from the newly introduced Paldea region.
SV1S arrived in Japan at the beginning of 2023 and introduced collectors to the new generation of Pokémon TCG cards, including the modern Pokémon ex mechanic and a lineup of Pokémon inspired by Pokémon Scarlet.
At the center of the expansion is Koraidon ex, the Legendary Pokémon associated with Pokémon Scarlet. Alongside Koraidon, the set includes new Paldean Pokémon, returning favorites and a selection of premium Art Rare and higher-rarity cards.
A sealed display contains 30 booster packs, with 5 cards in each pack, for a total of 150 cards per box.
🦖 Koraidon ex Takes the Spotlight
The signature Pokémon of Scarlet ex is Koraidon ex.
As the Legendary Pokémon associated with Pokémon Scarlet, Koraidon provides the set with a strong centerpiece and several collectible versions.
Collectors can pursue different rarities of Koraidon, including its premium artwork, while the rest of the expansion introduces a broad selection of Pokémon from the Paldea region.
🔥 Pokémon from the Paldea Region
Scarlet ex is one of the first Japanese Pokémon TCG products to showcase the new Paldea generation.
The set features Pokémon such as:
-
Koraidon ex
-
Armarouge
-
Armorouge-related evolution cards
-
Magnezone ex
-
Great Tusk ex
-
Riolu
-
Seviper
-
Pawmot
-
Lechonk
-
Pawmi
This mix of new-generation Pokémon and familiar species makes SV1S an important starting point for collectors building a Scarlet & Violet-era collection.
🎨 Art Rare Cards
One of the strongest collecting features of modern Japanese Pokémon products is the premium artwork.
Scarlet ex includes Art Rare cards that present Pokémon in illustrated environments rather than traditional battle-focused artwork.
Among the cards collectors can pursue are Pokémon such as Armarouge, Riolu and Seviper, alongside other higher-rarity cards throughout the set.
These artworks help distinguish SV1S from a conventional base-set style release.
⚡ Pokémon ex Returns
Scarlet ex is also significant because it marks the beginning of the new Pokémon ex era.
Pokémon ex cards have a different visual treatment from the Pokémon V cards that dominated the Sword & Shield generation.
For collectors following the transition between generations, SV1S therefore represents an important milestone in the Pokémon TCG.
💎 Higher-Rarity Cards
The Japanese SV1S release contains several rarity levels beyond its regular cards.
Collectors can find:
-
Pokémon ex
-
Double Rare
-
Art Rare
-
Super Rare
-
Special Art Rare
-
Ultra Rare
-
Secret Rare cards
The Japanese release contains 108 card types when the higher-rarity cards are included, providing additional cards to chase beyond the main numbered set.
📦 JAPANESE BOOSTER BOX CONFIGURATION
One factory-sealed SV1S Scarlet ex box contains:
30 booster packs × 5 cards per pack = 150 cards.
The cards are randomly inserted at the factory, so specific cards such as Koraidon ex or premium-rarity cards are not guaranteed in an individual box.
🏆 WHY COLLECT SCARLET EX?
Scarlet ex has significance beyond its individual cards because it is one of the opening Japanese expansions of the Scarlet & Violet generation.
It offers collectors:
-
Koraidon ex
-
New Paldean Pokémon
-
Art Rare cards
-
Pokémon ex cards
-
Modern Japanese Pokémon TCG artwork
-
Original Japanese packaging
-
A starting point for the Scarlet & Violet era
For sealed collectors, SV1S pairs naturally with SV1V Violet ex, giving you both of the Japanese products that launched the new generation.
