Pokémon S11 Lost Abyss Japanese Booster Box | Giratina VSTAR & Lost Zone
Original price was: 341 $.255 $Current price is: 255 $.
The Pokémon S11 Lost Abyss Japanese Booster Box takes the Pokémon TCG into one of its most mysterious themes of the Sword & Shield era: the Lost Zone.
Released in Japan in July 2022, Lost Abyss is built around the return of the Lost Zone mechanic, where cards placed there are removed from normal play and cannot simply be recovered like cards sent to the discard pile. That mechanic gives the expansion a distinctive identity both for players and collectors.
Each sealed Japanese display contains 30 booster packs, with 5 cards inside every pack, giving you 150 cards per box.
🌀 Giratina and the Lost Zone
The defining Pokémon of S11 is Giratina.
Giratina’s connection to another dimension makes it an especially fitting centerpiece for an expansion built around the Lost Zone. Collectors can find Giratina V and Giratina VSTAR, including highly sought-after alternate-art and higher-rarity versions.
The set also gives collectors several other major Pokémon to chase, including Aerodactyl VSTAR, Rotom V, Hisuian Goodra VSTAR, Drapion V and Kyurem VMAX.
💎 One of Sword & Shield’s Popular Chase Cards
Among the cards that have made Lost Abyss particularly recognizable to collectors is the Giratina V alternate-art card.
Its artwork depicts Giratina in a dramatic Lost Zone-inspired setting, making it one of the standout collector cards associated with the Japanese S11 release.
Other notable chase cards include:

🎴 The Lost Zone Returns
Lost Abyss is particularly important because it brought the Lost Zone mechanic back into the Pokémon TCG.
Unlike the discard pile, cards sent to the Lost Zone cannot normally be retrieved during the game. This created new strategic possibilities and became an important part of the Sword & Shield-era gameplay surrounding cards from the Lost Abyss/Lost Origin release.
That gameplay theme also gives the physical set a strong collecting identity: the artwork, Pokémon selection and card mechanics all revolve around the idea of distortion and the Lost Zone.
📦 Japanese Booster Box Configuration
S11 uses the standard Japanese main-expansion configuration.
One factory-sealed Lost Abyss box contains:
30 booster packs × 5 cards per pack = 150 cards per box.
The cards are randomly inserted by the manufacturer. Therefore, individual cards such as Giratina V alternate art are not guaranteed in a particular box.
Japanese retailers also commonly describe a box as having guaranteed higher-rarity pulls, but the exact cards vary from box to box.
🌌 A Distinctive Sword & Shield Release
Lost Abyss has remained popular because it combines several elements collectors look for in a sealed Pokémon product:
Giratina + Lost Zone + alternate-art cards + Japanese Sword & Shield-era packaging.
It also has a strong connection to the international Lost Origin expansion, making the Japanese S11 box an appealing choice for collectors who want the original Japanese release rather than the later international version.
For a Japanese sealed collection, S11 also represents an important point in the Sword & Shield era, arriving shortly before later 2022 releases such as Incandescent Arcana.
