The Eevee Heroes Eevee’s Gym Set is one of the most sought-after Japanese Pokémon sealed products from the Sword & Shield era. Officially named 「強化拡張パック イーブイヒーローズ イーブイズセット」, this Pokémon Center-era release combines two sealed Eevee Heroes booster boxes, an exclusive Espeon VMAX promo card, Eevee Evolution-themed deck sleeves, a deck case and a large card storage box. It was released in Japan on May 28, 2021, with an original retail price of ¥11,330 including tax.
The centerpiece of the Eevee Heroes Eevee’s Gym Set is the inclusion of two complete S6a Eevee Heroes booster boxes.
That gives the sealed set:
2 Eevee Heroes booster boxes
60 Japanese booster packs total
5 cards per booster pack
The official Pokémon Card Game confirms that the Eevee Heroes portion contains 2 boxes / 60 packs.
The individual Eevee Heroes expansion was released on May 28, 2021, with five randomly inserted cards in each Japanese pack.
Espeon VMAX Exclusive Promo
One of the most important pieces of the Eevee Heroes Eevee’s Gym Set is the included Espeon VMAX promo card.
The official Pokémon Card Game specifically states that the Espeon VMAX included in this product has a different illustration from the Espeon VMAX included in the separate VMAX Special Set Eevee Heroes.
This distinction is important for collectors because the two products contain different Espeon VMAX artwork.
The Eevee’s Gym Set promo is therefore one of the defining cards of this sealed product.
Eevee Evolution Artwork
The entire product was designed around Eevee and its evolutions.
The official Pokémon Card Game describes the artwork as having a soft, picture-book style and shows Eevee alongside its various evolutions. The same artwork continues across the deck sleeves, deck case and large storage box.
This coordinated artwork is one of the reasons the set has remained highly desirable as a sealed collectible.
64 Eevee Evolution Deck Sleeves
The box contains 64 deck sleeves featuring Eevee and its evolutions.
The sleeve artwork is designed so that the complete illustration can be appreciated across the set rather than appearing as a simple repeated Pokémon logo.
These are original accessories included with the Japanese Eevee Heroes Gym Set.
Eevee Heroes Deck Case
The product also includes one Eevee Heroes deck case.
The official Pokémon Card Game explains that the artwork is incorporated across the different sides of the case, with Eevee prominently featured on the reverse.
This matching accessory helps distinguish the Gym Set from ordinary S6a booster boxes.
Large Eevee Heroes Card Storage Box
A large-capacity card storage box is also included.
The storage box uses the same Eevee and Eeveelution artwork as the other accessories and provides additional space for storing cards from the two included booster boxes.
For sealed collectors, the storage box is an important part of the original product configuration.
Eevee Heroes — S6a
The booster packs inside the Gym Set come from S6a Eevee Heroes, one of the most recognizable Japanese Sword & Shield expansions.
The official Pokémon Card Game’s S6a page highlights numerous Eeveelution Pokémon V and VMAX, including:
Umbreon VMAX
Umbreon V
Sylveon VMAX
Sylveon V
Flareon V
Vaporeon V
Jolteon V
Espeon V
Leafeon VMAX
Glaceon VMAX
The Eeveelutions Are the Main Attraction
Eevee Heroes is built around Eevee and its evolutions rather than a single Pokémon.
The official card list includes the major Eeveelutions across V and VMAX rarities, making the expansion particularly attractive to collectors who specialize in Eevee-related Pokémon cards.
Among the most recognizable cards from the set are the various Eeveelution VMAX cards, including Umbreon VMAX, Sylveon VMAX, Leafeon VMAX and Glaceon VMAX.
Umbreon VMAX
Umbreon VMAX is one of the headline cards associated with S6a Eevee Heroes.
The official Pokémon Card Game describes Umbreon VMAX as a Single Strike Pokémon VMAX with the Dark Signal Ability, allowing it to bring an opponent’s Benched Pokémon into the Active Spot when evolved from the hand.
This card became one of the defining chase cards of the Japanese Eevee Heroes expansion.
Sylveon VMAX
Sylveon VMAX provides the set with a strong Fairy-themed visual identity while using the modern Psychic-type classification.
Its Max Harmony attack increases in damage according to the number of different Pokémon types on the player’s Bench.
Together with the other Eeveelutions, it contributes to the broad collector appeal of S6a.
Other Eeveelution VMAX Cards
S6a also includes:
Leafeon VMAX
Glaceon VMAX
Flareon VMAX
Vaporeon VMAX
Jolteon VMAX
Espeon VMAX
Umbreon VMAX
Sylveon VMAX
Some of the VMAX cards are found through the separate VMAX Special Set products, while the Eevee Heroes booster expansion itself contains several major Eeveelution VMAX cards. The official Pokémon Card Game S6a page provides the card details and artwork.
