Original price was: 164 $.123 $Current price is: 123 $.
The Glory of Team Rocket booster box brings one of Pokémon’s most recognizable villainous organizations back into the Pokémon TCG. Japanese SV10, officially titled Rocket Gang’s Glory (ロケット団の栄光), was released on April 18, 2025, with the expansion built around Team Rocket’s Pokémon, Giovanni and the organization’s distinctive dark aesthetic. The official Pokémon Card Game website confirms the Japanese release and five-card randomized packs. See the official Pokémon Card Game SV10 page for the original Japanese expansion information.
Team Rocket Returns to the Pokémon TCG
SV10 is different from the typical Scarlet & Violet expansion because the cards repeatedly identify Pokémon as belonging to Team Rocket.
That means familiar Pokémon appear through a villainous lens, including Team Rocket’s Mewtwo ex, Team Rocket’s Moltres ex, Team Rocket’s Nidoking ex, Team Rocket’s Crobat ex and Team Rocket’s Persian ex.
The set also features Team Rocket characters as Supporter cards, including Giovanni, Ariana, Archer, Petrel and Proton, giving the expansion a much stronger connection to the original Team Rocket storyline.
Team Rocket’s Mewtwo ex
The biggest chase in Glory of Team Rocket is undoubtedly Team Rocket’s Mewtwo ex.
Mewtwo ex appears in several rarities throughout SV10, culminating in a highly collectible Ultra Rare version. Its main attack, Eraser Ball, can increase its damage by discarding Energy from your Benched Pokémon, while its Power Saver Ability restricts the attack unless you have at least four Team Rocket’s Pokémon in play. The official Japanese card database confirms these mechanics. View Team Rocket’s Mewtwo ex on the official Pokémon card database.
The card’s multiple rarity treatments give collectors several versions to chase, from the regular ex through Super Art Rare and Ultra Rare.
Other Team Rocket Pokémon
Mewtwo isn’t alone.
The expansion’s major Pokémon ex include:
-
Team Rocket’s Moltres ex
-
Team Rocket’s Mewtwo ex
-
Team Rocket’s Nidoking ex
-
Team Rocket’s Crobat ex
-
Team Rocket’s Persian ex
-
Regirock ex
-
Cetitan ex
-
Arboliva ex
Team Rocket’s Moltres ex is another standout card. Its Evil Burner attack can discard a Team Rocket Energy to remove the opponent’s Active Pokémon and all cards attached to it, making it one of the more distinctive attacks in the expansion. The official Pokémon Card Game page specifically highlights this mechanic.
A Complete Team Rocket-Themed Card Pool
The Japanese SV10 checklist contains 132 cards in total:
-
98 cards in the numbered main set
-
34 secret/high-rarity cards
The secret section includes 12 Art Rare cards, 13 Super Rare cards, 6 Special Art Rare cards and 3 Ultra Rare cards. Browse the complete Glory of Team Rocket card list to see the full SV10 checklist and rarity breakdown.
The Art Rare selection includes cards such as:
-
Team Rocket’s Houndoom
-
Blaziken
-
Team Rocket’s Murkrow
-
Team Rocket’s Meowth
-
Team Rocket’s Wobbuffet
-
Team Rocket’s Weezing
-
Team Rocket’s Raticate
-
Kangaskhan
-
Zamazenta
These cards give the set collecting appeal beyond the headline Mewtwo chase.
Giovanni and the Team Rocket Executives
The Trainer cards are an important part of SV10’s identity.
Team Rocket’s Giovanni appears as a high-rarity Supporter, alongside Ariana, Archer, Petrel and Proton. This creates a complete villain-focused character lineup rather than simply adding a few Team Rocket Pokémon to a conventional set.
Giovanni’s card is particularly notable because the expansion repeatedly connects his character with the Pokémon under Team Rocket’s control.
Team Rocket Energy
SV10 also introduces Team Rocket Energy, a Special Energy designed specifically for Team Rocket’s Pokémon.
It provides two Energy of Psychic and Darkness types when attached to a Team Rocket Pokémon, helping support the set’s dedicated Team Rocket strategy. The official Pokémon Card Game explains that the Energy can only be attached to Team Rocket’s Pokémon.
This gives the expansion more cohesion than simply having Team Rocket-themed artwork.
30 Japanese Booster Packs
A sealed Glory of Team Rocket booster box contains:
-
30 Japanese booster packs
-
5 cards per pack
-
150 cards per box
The official Japanese product information states that each pack contains five randomly inserted cards.
A specific card is never guaranteed in an individual box, including Team Rocket’s Mewtwo ex, Moltres ex, Nidoking ex, Crobat ex or any SAR/UR card.
Japanese SV10 Release
This product is the original Japanese SV10 Glory of Team Rocket release.
The Japanese expansion launched on April 18, 2025, and became the tenth main Scarlet & Violet expansion. Serebii records the same release date and a total of 132 cards.
The set’s international significance is also substantial because the Team Rocket-focused card pool became part of the later English-language Pokémon TCG release associated with Destined Rivals.
For collectors specifically seeking Japanese Pokémon cards, however, SV10 offers the original Japanese cards and packaging.
A Strong Sealed Product for Team Rocket Collectors
The appeal of this expansion goes beyond simply having Mewtwo on the box.
Glory of Team Rocket recreates the atmosphere of one of Pokémon’s most famous villain organizations through its Pokémon, Trainers, Energy and artwork. Collectors can pursue different versions of Mewtwo ex while also building collections around Giovanni, Ariana, Moltres, Nidoking, Crobat and other Team Rocket Pokémon.
For a Japanese Scarlet & Violet collection, SV10 is particularly distinctive because its entire identity revolves around one of the franchise’s most recognizable organizations.
