2021 Pokémon 25th Anniversary Collection S8a Japanese Sealed

Released in 2021 to mark a major milestone in Pokémon TCG history, the 25th Anniversary Collection S8a is a Japanese expansion built around some of the most recognizable cards and characters from the game’s history.

This is the Japanese S8a booster box, sealed in its original packaging and containing 16 booster packs. Each pack contains 5 Japanese Pokémon cards, giving collectors the opportunity to open a complete box from one of the most recognizable anniversary releases of the Sword & Shield era.

A Celebration of 25 Years of Pokémon TCG

The appeal of S8a comes from its anniversary theme. Rather than functioning like an ordinary expansion, the set was designed as a celebration of the Pokémon Trading Card Game’s history.

The Japanese collection is a compact set centered on nostalgic cards and artwork connected to earlier eras of Pokémon TCG. That makes it particularly interesting for collectors who enjoy products that connect modern releases with the original Pokémon card era.

Japanese S8a Booster Box

The Japanese edition has its own identity within the global 25th Anniversary releases.

A sealed S8a box contains:

• 16 booster packs
• 5 cards per pack
• Japanese-language cards
• Original Japanese packaging
• Factory-sealed product

The Japanese booster box format makes S8a especially suitable for collectors who focus specifically on Japanese Pokémon TCG releases.

A Sealed Piece of the 2021 Pokémon Era

For sealed collectors, the condition of the box is an important part of the product itself. Keeping an S8a box sealed preserves the original Japanese packaging and the presentation of a Pokémon TCG release from 2021.

The product has also continued to appear in the secondary market as a collectible sealed box, with recent 2026 sales recorded for Japanese S8a booster boxes.
