The future of Pokémon TCG arrives in the Pokémon SV4M Future Flash Japanese Booster Box, an expansion built around the futuristic Paradox Pokémon introduced during the Scarlet & Violet era.

Released in Japan on October 27, 2023, Future Flash is one half of the Japanese Ancient Roar / Future Flash release. While its companion set focuses heavily on Ancient Pokémon, SV4M takes the opposite direction with futuristic Pokémon such as Iron Valiant, Iron Hands, Iron Bundle and Iron Jugulis.

The result is a set with a distinctly technological feel, while still offering plenty for traditional Pokémon collectors through Illustration Rare, Special Art Rare and Ultra Rare cards.

⚔️ Iron Valiant Leads the Future

One of the defining Pokémon of SV4M is Iron Valiant ex.

This futuristic Paradox Pokémon receives several different versions in the Japanese expansion, including the regular Iron Valiant ex, a higher-rarity version and the highly collectible Special Art Rare #089/066.

Iron Valiant’s appearance makes it particularly recognizable among the Paradox Pokémon introduced in Scarlet & Violet. For collectors building a Future Pokémon collection, SV4M provides some of the most important early cards associated with this futuristic group.

🪽 Altaria Takes an Unexpected Spotlight

Future Flash isn’t limited to futuristic Pokémon.

One of the expansion’s most desirable cards is actually Altaria ex, with its Special Art Rare #090/066 becoming one of the standout chase cards in the set. Current card-market data places this Altaria ex among the most valuable cards from the Japanese SV4M release.

That contrast is part of what makes the set interesting: futuristic Paradox Pokémon sit alongside more familiar Pokémon receiving elaborate modern artwork.

🤖 A Collection of Future Pokémon

SV4M contains a substantial selection of futuristic Paradox Pokémon, including:

• Iron Valiant

• Iron Hands

• Iron Moth

• Iron Bundle

• Iron Jugulis

The expansion also includes Pokémon such as Toxtricity, Aegislash, Steelix, Porygon-Z, Maushold and Altaria.

This mixture gives the booster box a broader appeal than a set focused exclusively on Paradox Pokémon.

🎨 Illustration Rare Cards

Future Flash contains a number of higher-rarity illustrated cards that give the set its collector appeal.

Some notable Art Rare cards include:

Steelix #074/066
Aipom #075/066
Swablu #076/066
Porygon-Z #077/066
Iron Jugulis #078/066

These cards are particularly appealing to collectors who prefer characterful Pokémon artwork over conventional battle illustrations.

The set then moves into higher rarities, including premium versions of Iron Hands ex, Iron Valiant ex and Altaria ex.

💎 The Premium Chase Cards

Among the higher-rarity cards in Japanese Future Flash are:

• Altaria ex #090/066 — Special Art Rare

• Iron Valiant ex #089/066 — Special Art Rare

• Iron Hands ex #088/066 — Special Art Rare

• Tulip #092/066 — Special Art Rare

• Professor Turo’s Scenario #091/066 — Special Art Rare

• Counter Catcher #094/066 — Ultra Rare

• Basic Metal Energy #095/066 — Ultra Rare

• Maushold ex #084/066

These cards give collectors multiple targets when opening sealed SV4M product rather than making the entire expansion dependent on one Pokémon.

🧪 Tulip & Professor Turo

Future Flash also gives attention to two characters closely connected with the futuristic side of the Scarlet & Violet world.

Tulip receives a premium Special Art Rare, while Professor Turo’s Scenario also appears among the higher-rarity Trainer cards.

For Trainer-card collectors, these provide another collecting route within SV4M.

🇯🇵 ORIGINAL JAPANESE SV4M

This listing is for the Japanese version of Future Flash, officially released in Japan on October 27, 2023.

The Japanese SV4M product is part of the Scarlet & Violet-era Japanese release schedule and was designed to be paired with SV4K Ancient Roar.

Collectors who want the original Japanese cards will receive Japanese-language cards and the original Japanese booster packaging.

---

📦 BOOSTER BOX CONFIGURATION

Future Flash uses the familiar Japanese booster-box format.

One sealed box contains:

30 booster packs

5 cards per pack

150 cards per box

The cards are randomly distributed, so purchasing a sealed box does not guarantee Iron Valiant ex SAR, Altaria ex SAR or any other particular rarity.

---

📊 SET INFORMATION

The Japanese SV4M checklist contains 66 cards in its main set, with the complete numbered release reaching 95 cards once the higher-rarity cards are included.

The higher-rarity section includes Art Rare, Super Rare, Special Art Rare and Ultra Rare cards.

📐 PRODUCT SPECIFICATIONS

For the physical specifications, I would list the weight and dimensions as approximate on JP-TCG Wholesale rather than presenting them as exact manufacturer measurements. Packaging measurements can vary depending on whether the seller measures the box alone or the packaged shipment.

WHY FUTURE FLASH BELONGS IN A JAPANESE COLLECTION

Future Flash represents an important moment in the Scarlet & Violet generation because it expanded the Future Paradox Pokémon concept into the Japanese TCG.

The set has a recognizable futuristic theme, but it isn’t restricted to one style of card. Collectors can pursue Iron Valiant, Iron Hands and other Paradox Pokémon, while also chasing highly illustrated cards such as Altaria ex, Steelix and Aipom.

It also works particularly well as a companion to SV4K Ancient Roar. Together, the two expansions represent the opposing Ancient and Future sides of the Paradox Pokémon concept.

For anyone building a chronological Japanese Scarlet & Violet sealed collection, SV4M is a natural addition after the earlier SV3 and SV3a releases.
